Hump Day Hike at Monte Sano (Three Caves Trailhead)
(Moderate to Difficult/ 2 hours/ 3-3.5 miles) Join us for a somewhat challenging midweek hike at the Monte Sano Nature Preserve starting at the Three Caves trailhead. The hike will start on the Three Caves Loop Trail overlooking Three Caves and then uphill for approximately 0.3 miles on the Waterline Trail. The route will leave the Waterline Trail and connect to the Young-Kennedy Trail (heading south) which will end near a seasonal waterfall after another short uphill. We will then take the Wagon Trail back to the Waterline Trail. Then it is all downhill back to the Three Caves trailhead.
Note: This preserve has several trailheads – be sure to come to the right one.
