Event Details

  • Food/Drink: NO OUTSIDE FOOD OR DRINK ALLOWED. NO COOLERS. Food will be available for purchase at the event provided by local food trucks. A variety of beer and wine options will be available to purchase at the bar. All transactions here are digital; no cash accepted.

  • Live music: Enjoy jams by Matt Prater Band and The Alabama Heathens.
  • Seating: No seating is provided for this event. Bag chairs are recommended. No tables please.

  • Parking: There is no parking available at Three Caves. Parking is at Huntsville Hospital lots at Adams Street & Lowell Drive (500 Lowell Drive SE, Huntsville 35801). Free shuttle service begins at 5:30 PM and continues throughout the night. Gates open at 5:30 PM. If you use a rideshare service (Uber/Lyft) or taxi, the Mountain Springs Pool parking lot (located next to Three Caves at 905 Kennamer Dr SE, Huntsville 35801) is the designated drop off and pick up location.

    • Accessibility: The surface at Three Caves is gravel. Attendees can be dropped off at the roadway entrance to the venue and request a ride down to the bottom of the hill where the event takes place. Staff will be available to assist you at any time during the event when you are ready to exit. If you have any questions about accessibility, please contact us at questions@landtrustnal.org.
      • Attire: Casual dress with closed toe shoes (due to gravel) recommended. The temperature at Three Caves is typically a few degrees cooler due to cool air coming from the caves.
      • Cancellation: Tickets are non-refundable. If the event must be canceled due to inclement weather or other circumstances beyond Land Trust control, please consider the cost of your ticket to be a tax-deductible donation to the Land Trust of North Alabama. All ticket buyers will be notified of cancellation by email to the address provided.
      • No pets. No children under age 12.

      Three Caves is located within the Land Trust’s Monte Sano Nature Preserve – one of the largest urban nature preserves in the US – and has become one of the most unique outdoor venues in North Alabama. Conveniently located just two miles from downtown Huntsville, Three Caves gets its name from the three limestone openings that accentuate the stage. The venue offers a comfortable ~55°F temperature year-round. As the sun sets and the lights begin to accentuate the walls, guests are in store for a truly magical experience.

      Opener: The Alabama Heathens

      The Alabama Heathens are one of the fastest growing bands in the Southeast. The Heathens focus heavily on delivering genre-bending performances, wearing their influences on their sleeves. At the core, they are Southern Rock, focused on writing great tunes that captivate the listener’s ear at a much deeper level than your ordinary chart topper. No matter if its on your radio or catching them on tour, The Alabama Heathens always bring the energy!

      Headliner: Matt Prater Band

      Matt Prater, a singer songwriter from North Alabama, is a soulful storyteller with Country, Honky Tonk, Folk and Roots Music influences. His songs are relevant to all generations. Matt has had success in writing everything from independently produced solo projects as an artist, to custom theme songs and commercial jingles for others.
