Open Positions
Recreation Manager- The Land Trust of North Alabama seeks a full-time Recreation Manager to lead stewardship staff and oversee the development, maintenance, and improvement of our trails, preserves, and outdoor recreation spaces. This role combines project management, volunteer coordination, and community engagement to help protect and enhance North Alabama’s natural areas. Reports to Land Management Director.
Primary duties include: 1) Supervise Land Stewardship staff. 2) Oversee develop, care and maintenance of recreation facilities, infrastructure and improvements, including trails, trailheads, disc golf course, birding infrastructure, etc. 3) Coordinate staffing to assist the Conservation Manager, as needed. 4) Assist Land Management Director in development of property management plans, including providing GPS data to support monitoring and land management plan updates in accordance with Land Trust Alliance Standards and Practices. 5) Support the Resource Advisory Committee, as needed.

Camp Staff Member (Temporary Seasonal) – Land Trust of North Alabama is seeking energetic, organized individuals who love to work with children and help create memorable experiences in nature this summer during our Nature Play Camp. Camp sessions are weeklong day camps for children ranging in age from six through eleven. These camp sessions are held exclusively outdoors and focus on allowing children to play and learn about our green spaces through discovery hikes, stream exploration, nature crafts and games, and more.
Camp staff will be responsible for safely executing Nature Play Camp for children ages 6-11. Each Summer Camp staff member will be needed for 2 weeks in June (June 8-12 and June 15-19) Monday through Friday, for approximately 8 hours per day. Camp staff will also be needed to help prepare for camp for up to 8 hours during the week prior to camp.
