The final two months of the year are critical for the Land Trust of North Alabama. Last year, 34% of our unrestricted operating funds came through the generosity of donors in November and December. These gifts allow us to continue protecting the natural landscapes, working farms, and vital green spaces that make our region special.
As you consider your year-end giving, we want you to know about the various ways you can support our mission:
- Cash gifts remain the most straightforward option and can be made online, by mail, or in person.
- Stocks and appreciated securities can offer significant tax advantages.
- Donor-advised funds provide a simple way to recommend grants to the Land Trust while managing your charitable giving efficiently.
- Qualified charitable distributions allow individuals age 70½ and older to transfer funds from an IRA to satisfy required minimum distributions without counting the distribution as taxable income.
- Planned gifts through bequests, beneficiary designations, or charitable trusts help ensure the Land Trust’s work continues for generations to come.
Every gift, regardless of size or method, makes a meaningful difference in our ability to preserve the places we all love. If you have questions about any of these giving options, please contact us at 256-534-5263.
Thank you for your continued support of conservation in North Alabama.
