Hike at Green Mountain’s Alum Hollow Trail

(Moderate / Around 2 hours / 2.1 miles) This hike, along Green Mountain’s Alum Hollow Trail, will take hikers to Alum Falls and Alum Cave, two scenic spots on the preserve. The cave (really a rock overhang) served as a shelter for native residents and travelers over this area’s human history. The trail is relatively easy, with the exception of a steep hill leading down to the waterfall and cave at the half-way point of this hike.
