ADULTS

There’s always more to learn

Our education programs for all ages provide new ways to experience and learn about the environment around us from knowledgeable local experts. Join a guided hike, attend a guest speaker presentation, or attend an in-depth workshop to gain insight on a variety of interesting topics.

Summer Tree Identification Workshop

Recognizing the trees around you is an incredible and valuable skill. It creates a sense of familiarity that will make you feel at home in the forest! In this workshop presented in partnership with Feral Foraging, we’ll give you an overview of common trees in Alabama and a roadmap for identifying any tree you may come across.

Wilderness First Aid

This 16-hour course presented in partnership with Cain Creek Outdoors will provide you with the skills and confidence to assess and treat trauma and illnesses in the backcountry when help is more than an hour away. All attendees must be at least 16 years old.

Guided Hikes

A fresh schedule of guided adventures is available each month with chances to explore and learn about nature alongside knowledgeable guides. These free events offer natural beauty and exercise for all ages and skill levels.
