Weekend Wanderings

This new program is for children ages of 7-11. Once a month, we’ll explore what makes North Alabama the gem that it is. Programs will include presentations, hikes, art activities, stewardship efforts, or other forms of exploration.

Tuesdays on the Trail

Ages 6-12

Tuesdays on the Trail

Head outdoors on Tuesdays in June and July to discover our area’s unique biodiversity protected by Land Trust preserves. Each summer, local experts lead children on explorations of topics including archaeology, water ecology, animal tracks, tree identification, and more! This program is only available to current Land Trust members at the Trailblazer (Family) level or above.

Forest Friends

Ages 18 months to 5 years

Forest Friends

Families with young children (ages 18 months to 5 years) can enjoy these nature discovery events designed to encourage a sense of wonder about the natural world. Through the sharing of stories and songs and the creation of art, each playful exploration engages both adults and children as we make new discoveries about the plants and animals in this beautiful forest habitat.
