Members-only Owl Prowl at Monte Sano

March 24 @ 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm

(Moderate / Up to 1.5 hours of hiking / About 2 miles) Owls are one of the most fascinating creatures in the forest (according to us, anyway), and this hike exclusively available for Land Trust members is an opportunity to learn a bit more about them as well as go out and listen for them. We’ll start with a brief presentation on owls and their ecology before we head out on the Bluff Line Trail to prowl. As an added bonus, we’re partnering with Rise Raptor Project to have an owl as part of our presentation. Be sure to bring a flashlight, as we’ll be finishing up after dark.

Hike Leader: Sara Johnson and Bob Carroll

Location: Bankhead Pavilion at Monte Sano Nature Preserve – 2442 Bankhead Pkwy NE, Huntsville, AL 35801
