REI article names Land Trust trails as special places to visit – along with Grand Canyon and the Smoky Mountains

Derek Hamilton writes for outdoor enthusiast retailer REI. Hamilton posted an article in late January, 2016, entitled “5 Destinations to Get You Psyched for Spring Hiking.”

The first two spots were Boulder, Colorado, and the Grand Canyon. The fourth mention was North Alabama – specifically Blevins Gap and Madison’s Rainbow Mountain. These two trail systems are managed by the Land Trust of North Alabama. Hamilton was noting five spots highlighted by The Hiking Project and one of these included a review of our Blevins Gap Nature Preserve trails.

We are honored to be included in this stellar list. We know we’ve got a good thing goin’ with all of the trails in our community – and folks all across the country are recognizing the same! Many thanks to Hamilton and REI. Y’all come visit, OK?
