Photography Hike at Chapman Mountain Nature Preserve

(Easy / Around 1.5 hours) Have you ever been on a hike and thought, “Hold on, I want to get a picture?” Then this event is for you. This hike – a stroll, really – will be something a little bit different. The group will walk the trails of Chapman Mountain Nature Preserve, but the pace will be very slow in order to allow plenty of time for photography. Stopping, composing, getting the shot, and comparing results will be the plan for the morning. Amateur photographer Bob Carroll will be heading up this event.

Location: Chapman Mountain Nature Preserve – 1263 U.S Hwy 72 East, Huntsville, AL 35811

Directions: Coming from Huntsville, cross Chapman Mountain and u-turn at Moores Mill Road. When safe, get into the merge lane on the right (plenty of time). When the silver guard rail ends, be ready to turn right onto the paved entrance. Drive through the gate and down the gravel road to the parking area at the bottom of the hill.
