Haiku Hike at Hickory Cove Nature Preserve

March 10 @ 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm

***This event has been rescheduled from it’s original date due to weather and will now be held on Sunday, March 10.

Hosted in partnership with WLRH

(Moderate / about 2 hours / around 2 miles) Discover nature and poetry with the Land Trust and WLRH! Take a hike at the Land Trust’s newest nature preserve – Hickory Cove Nature Preserve in Huntsville. Along the way, let this beautiful forest mountainside provide creative inspiration. At the end of our hike, we’ll pause to craft a hike haiku with an opportunity to share your creation if you choose.

What’s a haiku? A Japanese poem with three lines and seventeen syllables (five in line one, seven in line two, and five in line three) traditionally evoking images of the natural world.

Take a Huntsville hike.

Let nature’s beauty inspire.

Write a fun poem!
