Homeschool Teen Hike

(Moderate / about 2 hours / around 2 miles) Bring a snack and a sketchpad/nature journal (optional) and join us for a monthly Homeschool Teen Hike led by Land Trust hike leader Bri Cobert. This month’s hike takes place at Hickory Cove Nature Preserve, the site of the future Nature Discovery Center. The hike is for teens, ages 12-17. A parent or guardian must accompany each teen to the preserve, and we ask that younger siblings not attend. On this hike we will stop for pictures and nature journaling in the oak-hickory forest and near the ephemeral streams, as well as discuss the historical features such as the spring house.
