2 hours / Easy (with moderate incline; roots and rocks on trail) / 1.5 miles
Become a Botanist for the day as you walk with expert Lynne Weninegar and learn about the many species of plants and flowers growing alongside Fagan Creek.
Location: Monte Sano Nature Preserve (Wildflower Trailhead) – 500 Cleermont Drive, Huntsville, AL 35801

2018 Fall Hike and Adventure Series
These FREE hikes offer natural beauty and exercise for the entire family but donations to help preserve green space are accepted! You don’t need fancy equipment! However, we do recommend:
- long pants and comfortable shoes with good tread
- bottled water
- hiking sticks
- trail snacks
- and a camera to capture the experience
Dogs welcome, but must be on leads. In case of rain, hikes may be cancelled. Please verify cancellation at landtrustnal.org or on the Land Trust of North Alabama Facebook Page (@landtrustnal).
