South Monte Sano Waterfalls with David Young
3 hours/ Moderate / 2 miles
Head down the other side of Young-Kennedy Trail to view the many waterfall sites along the route. Former Land Trust board member David Young is your guide through this often overlooked section of Monte Sano Nature Preserve. (3 hours/ Moderate / 2 miles)
Location: Monte Sano Nature Preserve ( Three Caves Trailhead) 901 Kennamer Dr SE, Huntsville, AL 35801
These FREE hikes offer natural beauty and exercise for the entire family but donations to help preserve green space are accepted! You don’t need fancy equipment! However, we do recommend:
- long pants and comfortable shoes with good tread
- bottled water
- hiking sticks
- trail snacks
- and a camera to capture the experience
Dogs welcome, but must be on leads. In case of rain, hikes may be cancelled. Please verify cancellation here or on our Facebook Page or website.
