Snail’s Pace: Slow Birding Workshop
June 24 @ 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm

This event is in partnership with The Snail on the Wall and is part of their new Snail’s Pace event series: a chance to slow down and try something new.
Registration required. How to register: Purchase a copy of The Slow Birding Journal from The Snail on the Wall (you may also choose the Slow Birding book in addition or in place of the journal). A purchase of either book reserves your seat.
About the Event:
Birding in your own back yard? Yes! Come learn about the joy of “slow birding” from the comfort of a lawn chair with an appropriate beverage close at hand.
Using Joan Strassman’s Slow Birding: The Art and Science of Enjoying the Birds in Your Own Backyard as a resource, Land Trust of North Alabama educators Elizabeth Moats and Tim Gels will cover the basics of birding with an emphasis on staying close to home. They’ll also cover a number of activities that can be done in the copy of Strassmann’s The Slow Birding Journal you’ll take home.
