Trail Care: High Trail

Join us as we work on a restoration of Monte Sano’s High Trail. This project is made possible by a grant from the National Environmental Education Foundation (NEEF) along with the support of Toyota Motor North America. Throughout the project, we’ll reroute the trail so make it more sustainable and make improvements to ensure that it is ready to hike for years to come! No experience required. Bug spray, sunscreen, and water recommended. Please wear sturdy, closed-toe shoes.
Our priority remains the health and safety of our community. Safety measures will be implemented in accordance with guidelines from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Alabama Department of Public Health. Depending on current recommendations at the time of the event, this may include limited event capacity, social distancing, and sanitization.
*Note: The location for this trail care event was changed from Chapman Mountain to Monte Sano’s High Trail in response to trail care project needs.
