High School Summer Hikes

Calling all Madison County area high schoolers! Are you already feeling the unstructured summer hours stretch out into what feels like infinity? Grab a friend or two and come out for our summer hikes for high schoolers led by naturalist educator Laura Lambert. Explore four of our fabulous preserves and discover the great natural beauties that can be found inside the city limits. All of these hikes are able to be completed by beginner-level hikers, with many stops along the trail to chat about what makes north Alabama a unique spot in the world.

Any hikers under 18 must have a signed note of permission from a parent/guardian to attend these hikes.

Any hikers under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
