Blevins Gap Tree Identification Hike (2 hours/ Moderate to Difficult – due to elevation changes / 1.5 miles)
Our newest trails on Blevins Gap have a variety of trees to explore! Sweetgum? Chittamwood? Maple? You’ll know the difference after an afternoon learning how to identify some of our native species with Forester Callie Schweitzer.
Location: Blevins Gap Nature Preserve (Walsingham Trailhead) – From Cecil Ashburn headed east toward Hampton Cove, turn left at Donegal Drive then left onto Walsingham. Park on left side of the road near the trailhead.
Event Details: RESERVATION IS REQUIRED. Our fall hike series is exclusive to Land Trust members only. Sign up at the link provided. Space is limited to ensure quality and safety. There is no waitlist. We intentionally overbook to account for cancellations but if spots become available we’ll reopen the registration link on this page. We have reduced capacity for all hikes to ensure a safe environment for all participants and face coverings are required when 6ft distancing is not possible.
