Hike the Land Trust Challenge: Monte Sano – Toll Gate

(Easy/ 2 hours / 2.78 miles) Follow our series of guided hikes throughout the entire year as we cover all of the Land Trust’s public trails! We’ll start with the easiest routes and increase our difficulty and distance along the way. Beginning from Bankhead Trailhead, we’ll take a downhill walk on Toll Gate Trail, which runs parallel to Bankhead Parkway and then Tollgate Road. Where Tollgate Trail ends Watts Trail begins, which will take us south to Wildflower Trail. A hike on Wildflower Trail alongside Fagan Creek begins the gradual but rocky climb back up the mountain to Fagan Springs Trail and then Alms House Trail.
