Hike the Land Trust Challenge: Wade Mountain – Pulaski
December 3, 2022 @ 10:00 am - 2:30 pm
(Very Difficult / 5 hours / 7.5 miles) This is our longest hike of the year, and there is nearly 700 feet of elevation gain on this hike. As such, it is rated very difficult. We’ll start along the Wade Mountain Greenway off of Pulaski Pike and up Wade Mountain Greenway Trail. After just a short distance, we’ll loop on the Cotton Valley Trail before getting back on the Wade Mountain Greenway Trail. Next, we’ll take Fossil Bench Trail to Bostick Trail to Wade Mountain Trail and make our ascent. We’ll come down the east side of the mountain and continue onto Devils Race Track Trail before descending to the Spragins Hollow Trailhead.
Participants will be contacted in advance to coordinate carpooling if needed since this is a through-hike. Please bring plenty of water as well as any equipment such as trekking poles that you feel is necessary.
