Hike: Green Mountain Nature Preserve

(Moderate / 2 hours / 2.4 miles) While there is some elevation change during this hike, it will primarily stick to the plateau part of the preserve on Green Mountain. Starting at Alum Hollow Trailhead, the hike will follow the edge of the plateau on Alum Hollow Trail. At its end, the group will take some time to check out Alum Rock Shelter before returning to the trailhead along West Plateau, East Plateau, and Alum Hollow Trails. This is a nice walk in the woods!

Please note: Green Mountain Nature Preserve is not the same as the Madison County Nature Trail. The trailhead for this hike is just up the road from the Madison County Nature Trail entrance.
