Evening Weeding in the Pollinator Garden

Enjoy an evening of pulling weeds and tidying up our Pollinator Garden! We will be meeting at Blevins Gap Trailhead to work in our newest Pollinator Garden by removing weeds and ensuring our pollinators are beginning the growing season in the best possible condition. We will have experts on hand to guide you through identifying the weeds and taking care of the plants. Some hand tools will be available but volunteers are encouraged to bring their own gloves and hand tools if possible. No experience required. Please wear sturdy, closed-toe shoes. Bug spray, sunscreen, work gloves, eye protection, and water recommended. Complete a separate registration for each individual participating (each person must sign a waiver). Guardians may sign up on behalf of minors.
Location: Blevins Gap Nature Preserve – 3470 Cecil Ashburn Dr SE, Huntsville, AL 35802 – The Pollinator Garden is located adjacent to the trailhead parking area next to the overlook.
In case of cancellation due to weather, you will be contacted at the email address provided during sign up. A “Rain Date” has been scheduled for Wednesday, May 3 at 5 PM if needed.
