Hike at Rainbow Mountain

(Moderate / Around 1.5 hours / 2 miles) Come for a hike on Land Trust’s newest official trail–the Rainbolt Trail at Rainbow Mountain Nature Preserve. Beginning at the Kensington Drive Trailhead, follow this beautifully built trail up to the Rainbow Mountain Loop, where you’ll turn north and head to Balance Rock Trail, observing several of the preserve’s intriguing formations. Come back around Rainbow Loop and back down to Rainbolt for a nice downhill slope to your vehicle. Your hike leader also helped to build this trail–if you have any questions about trail building or Rainbolt Trail in particular, be sure to ask!
Location: Rainbow Mountain Nature Preserve (Kensington Trailhead) – Located at the end of Kensington Dr, Madison, AL 35758. Limited parking. Please carpool.
