All About Conservation Dogs

May 12 @ 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm

You’ve probably heard of different kinds of service dogs, but have you ever seen a conservation dog? Please join Land Trust of North Alabama at the South Huntsville Public Library, where we will host Amber Coger, the northwest district naturalist of Alabama State Parks. Amber will discuss the growing programs of conservation dog training and explain how our furry friends can help with several kinds of conservation work. Part of the talk will be dedicated to an interview with Rogue Detection Teams, an organization that trains these dogs and loans them out for research and field work. When this talk is finished, you may ask yourself–is there anything man’s best friend can’t do?

Location: South Huntsville Public Library – 7901-L Bailey Cove Rd SE, Huntsville, AL 35802
