Green Mountain Nature Preserve

Explore nearly all of Green Mountain Nature Preserve including the over 3 miles of recently added trails with Land Trust Board Member Mike Dalen. This hike is rated difficult due to steep elevation changes and rocky trails but the sights and features you’ll discover along the way are worth it!
Location: Green Mountain Nature Preserve (Alum Hollow Trailhead) – 13800 South Shawdee Road, Huntsville, AL 35803

2018 Fall Hike and Adventure Series
These FREE hikes offer natural beauty and exercise for the entire family but donations to help preserve green space are accepted! You don’t need fancy equipment! However, we do recommend:
- long pants and comfortable shoes with good tread
- bottled water
- hiking sticks
- trail snacks
- and a camera to capture the experience
Dogs welcome, but must be on leads. In case of rain, hikes may be cancelled. Please verify cancellation at landtrustnal.org or on the Land Trust of North Alabama Facebook Page (@landtrustnal).
