December 29, 2021 @ 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm
Combating the Extinction Crisis in Alabama with Bill Finch (on Facebook Live)
**It’s not too late! If you missed this presentation, watch it on our YouTube here.**
Of the 10 mainland North American species declared extinct by U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service at the end of September, all but one were from Alabama. While difficult to fully quantify, it is suspected the number of species lost in Alabama is now more than 100 in just the past two centuries. Hear from conservationist Bill Finch via Facebook Live Wednesday, December 29 at 6 PM for a discussion exploring the significant losses to Alabama biodiversity and the current efforts in place to halt the extinction of our native species.
Cost: FREE
