Rainbow Mountain Hike-a-Hound with Greater Huntsville Humane Society
3 hours / Easy to Moderate / 2.5 miles
We’re searching for a pot of gold at the end of our Rainbow… Mountain! Bring your own pup ready for some Irish fun or hike with one of the deserving, adoptable dogs from the Greater Huntsville Humane Society. Land Trust friends and dog lovers Matt and Kasey Powers will lead this adventure. (3 hours / Easy to Moderate / 2.5 miles)
Location: Rainbow Mountain Nature Preserve – 230 Stoneway Trail, Madison, AL 35758
These FREE hikes offer natural beauty and exercise for the entire family but donations to help preserve green space are accepted! You don’t need fancy equipment! However, we do recommend:
- long pants and comfortable shoes with good tread
- bottled water
- hiking sticks
- trail snacks
- and a camera to capture the experience
Dogs welcome, but must be on leads. In case of rain, hikes may be cancelled. Please verify cancellation here or on our Facebook Page or website.
