Rainbow Mountain Youth Hike

If your 9-12 year old enjoys exploring nature, join us on Saturday, September 3 from 9 AM – 10:30 AM for a free youth hike on Rainbow Mountain led by a Land Trust volunteer who’s a middle schooler herself. Please note that this is not a drop off event – all participants must be accompanied by a guardian.
Our route is subject to change, but we’re planning to start at the pavilion and see parts of the Rainbow Mountain Loop trail, the Spring Trail, and the Wild Trail before going past Balance Rock on its namesake trail. This hike is moderately difficult with some hills and rocky terrain, and it will only last about an hour. Participants are asked to wear closed-toe shoes and encouraged to bring plenty of water, bugspray and sunscreen.
