Blevins Gap Wilderness Photography Hike with Jim Kendall

Blevins Gap Nature Preserve offers a beautiful collection of rock formations, streams, waterfalls, and wildlife. After a morning with photographer Jim Kendall, you’ll have some great insight on the best lenses, lighting, and angles needed to perfectly capture the beauty of one of Huntsville’s favorite nature preserves. (2 hours / Moderate / 2 miles)
Location: Blevins Gap Nature Preserve ( Fanning Trailhead) — 2275 Cecil Ashburn Drive (behind SE Church of the Nazarene), Huntsville, AL 35802
These FREE hikes offer natural beauty and exercise for the entire family but donations to help preserve green space are accepted! You don’t need fancy equipment! However, we do recommend:
- long pants and comfortable shoes with good tread
- bottled water
- hiking sticks
- trail snacks
- and a camera to capture the experience
Dogs welcome, but must be on leads. In case of rain, hikes may be cancelled. Please verify cancellation at landtrustnal.org/hikes
