Walls of Jericho Hike (cancelled)
March 28, 2020 @ 8:00 am - 2:30 pm
(6.5 hours / Difficult / 8 miles) The Paint Rock Valley is always stunning, especially in the fall. Join us on a hike into the Walls of Jericho, where the clear headwaters of the biologically-significant Paint Rock River begin. Bring 2 liters of water, lunch, and snacks. Rated difficult due to uneven terrain & steep hill climb at the end of an all-day hike.
Location: Walls of Jericho – Jackson County – Meet behind the new Burger King in Gurley (5960 Hwy 72 E, Gurley, AL 35748)at 8:30 AM to caravan to the Walls of Jericho.
The Land Trust of North Alabama is working diligently with our hike and trail care guides and closely monitoring the current state of affairs in Alabama, the United States, and the world in regards to the Coronavirus. With the recent guidance from the CDC requesting avoidance of groups of 10 or more, we regret that this hike has been cancelled. However, all the Land Trust Nature Preserves are open and available for your use and enjoyment.
