Tuesdays on the Trail: Herpetology at Chapman Mountain

FreeHead outdoors on Tuesdays in June and July to discover our area’s unique biodiversity protected by Land Trust preserves. This summer, local experts will lead children on explorations of topics including archaeology, water ecology, animal tracks, tree identification, and more!
- Cost: FREE but only available for Land Trust members. Not a Land Trust Member? Join today!
- Reservations: Reservations are required. Space is limited. Please use the link provided below each program listing. Please register using parent/guardian’s information (name on your Land Trust membership) and select spots for the number of children only. Adults do not need to reserve a spot for themselves. Registered participants will receive an email with full details closer to the event. There are no waitlists for these events.
- Ages: 6-12 years. An accompanying adult is required for all programs.
- What to Bring: Closed toe shoes are required for all programs. We also recommend long pants, bug spray, sunscreen, and water.
June 11 at 9 AM – Herpetology at Chapman Mountain
We are on the hunt for amphibians and reptiles (aka herps) out at Chapman Mountain Nature Preserve. Biologist Andrew Cantrell will teach us where to look and how to handle snakes, salamanders, and more!
Land Trust Members only. Ages 6+ with an accompanying adult.
