Wade Mountain Plant ID Hike with Lynne Weninegar

Enjoy the sights of spring on Wade Mountain as botanist Lynne Weninegar points out how warmer temperatures affect the many beautiful plant species native to this semi-arid microclimate. (2 hours / Easy to Moderate / 2.5 miles)
Location: Wade Mountain Nature Preserve (Spragins Hollow Road Trailhead) – 10130 Spragins Hollow Road, Huntsville, AL 35810
These FREE hikes offer natural beauty and exercise for the entire family but donations to help preserve green space are accepted! You don’t need fancy equipment! However, we do recommend:
- long pants and comfortable shoes with good tread
- bottled water
- hiking sticks
- trail snacks
- and a camera to capture the experience
Dogs welcome, but must be on leads. In case of rain, hikes may be cancelled. Please verify cancellation at landtrustnal.org/hikes
