High School Summer Hike
July 18 @ 9:30 am - 12:00 pm
During our High School Summer Hike Series, we’ll explore biological oddities around us in North Alabama! Through this experience, teens can follow some of our natural world’s most bizarre and surreal aspects and how this oddness reflects its ecological uniqueness. How do magnolias pollinate if they existed before bees? How did the possum end up the only North American marsupial? Do mushrooms eat EVERYTHING when they die? We’ll reveal more questions than we answer and tear into local examples of weirdness at work. Sign up for any one event or come to all of them!
