National Trails Day Hike at Hickory Cove

(Moderate / about 2 hours / around 2 miles) For National Trails Day 2025, join Land Trust of North Alabama at Hickory Cove Nature Preserve, the future site of our Nature Discovery Center. See the site marked out for the soon-to-be home of all things outdoor recreation in north Alabama, and then follow your hike leader down the greenway and up onto the wooded slopes. Hikers will walk this preserve’s primary trail, the Legacy Loop. Covering much of the preserve, this hike will show you some of the beauty this hillside has to offer.
Location: Hickory Cove Nature Preserve – 1500 Trailhead Main St, Huntsville, AL 35811
